ADHD WOMEN IN BUSINESS IN GREATER MANCHESTER
Women do not get enough support in business. Women with ADHD get even less support in business. I have a dream to create a network of business groups, run in a formal manner for women with ADHD, encouraging networking, and business growth. The group will be a safe space for ADHD women to support and encourage each other and learn ADHD friendly tools that will improve their work-home balance.
The only criteria for joining is you need to have or think you have ADHD, you live in Greater Manchester, and you run a business. When this group is established I hope to set up more groups in different locations.
Here I am with Jo Platt MP for Leigh, Wigan, and Simon Chapman, events coordinator for LLoyds bank in Market Street where the group launch will take place in November 2019.
The initial launch will be free. Groups after that will have a low priced charge to cover admin and venue fees.
Jo is a passionate advocate for ADHD in the UK. She runs the APPG for ADHD that meets quartely in The House of Commons. We are planning to set up a business network group for women with ADHD in the centre of Manchester. Yes, we are both busy mums, and we both made time out of our busy schedules even during the school holidays to meet up and plan this. ADHD advocacy and support just can not wait until we have “more time…” The only time is NOW.
Watch this space for further developments.
Send me an email (look at the bottom of each web page) if you would like to attend, and I will get back to you.
